Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the frequently asked questions. If you have a question that is not answered, please feel free to email us.

What are the stencils made of?

The stencils are manufactured from a high-quality, plastic material specifically made for stencils.

How many times can I use the stencil?

The stencils can be used over and over again to apply the stencil to your racquets.

Is it difficult to apply the stencil?

No, it is not difficult at all. We include step by step instructions with every order. You can view the instructions here.

What kind of ink is it?

The ink is manufactured for us specifically for application to tennis strings. It is fast drying and very durable.

How many stencils can I apply with a bottle of ink?

Each bottle contains enough ink for between six and eight applications. However, once opened, the ink on the applicator can dry up limiting the shelf life of the bottle.

What kind of ink applicator is it?

Each bottle contains a felt-tip applicator that is rubbed on the strings to apply the ink.

Can I change the stencil on my racquet?

Once applied, the ink is permanant on the strings. In order to change the stencil, it is necessary to re-string the racquet.

Will the ink adhere to all types of strings?

The ink will adhere to all types of strings. However, due to the impermeability of polyester strings, the ink does not get enought "bite" on this type of string and can wear off sooner than on the other types of strings.

Can I use permanant markers on my strings instead of the ink?

We do not recommend using permanant markers. Our ink is specifically made for this purpose. Further, the felt applicator on our bottles makes it easy and fast to apply the ink.
